BULLETIN: Serious phone problems at our Medford location FIXED

Phones at our Medford location are downUPDATE: MAY 16, 2013 | 4:35 PM: It appears our phones are back up and fully functional. We thank you for your patience, and apologize for the inconvenience.

Last Friday, a power outage and subsequent surge knocked out most of our Medford store’s phone system. As a result, most incoming calls are not getting through. This is a serious situation, and we are doing everything possible to resolve it. Oddly, we are still able to make outgoing calls.

In the meantime, here are alternative ways to contact our people in Medford:

BY VOICE PHONE OR TEXT (goes to General Manager Jeff Thomas‘ cell): 541-944-4835

BY EMAIL (general info): Use our Contact Form on this page.

CONTACT OUR SERVICE DEPARTMENT: Use our web-based Service Contact Form to check on the status of a repair, set up an appointment, or ask a technical question.

We realize this is a tremendous inconvenience. We apologize, and ask for your patience while we sort this whole mess out. Thank you.

UPDATE MAY 16, 2013 | NOON: The phones were working OK most of the morning, but now we’re having some additional parts replaced – which means we’re unable to answer incoming calls. This is a (hopefully) short-lived situation. We suggest trying to call us first, and if no one answers, use one of the alternate methods above.

UPDATE MAY 17, 2013: Repairs have been completed, and our phone system is once again fully functional.

Deal of the Week | May 10, 2013: Binoculars with built-in digital camera/camcorder for $13.99

Combination Binoculars / Digital camera-camcorder for $13.99Here’s the scenario: Using a pair of binoculars, you’re observing a bird at the feeder, and it’s a beauty. Suddenly, the play of a lifetime begins to unfold. What if you could instantly begin recording it to video?

With this week’s DOTW, these aren’t the mad ravings of a delusional copy writer, or the pipe dream of a science fiction author. The future is now, right here, at Connecting Point. O brave new world, that has such gadgets in it!

This combination binocular / digital camera / PC camera / video camera normally retails for 50 bucks. But this week, while supplies last, you can grab them for a laughable $13.99. Read more here.

"Helping Hands" Magnifier/Workstation with LED Lights for $5.99Our Service Technicians have been eyeballing this week’s DOTW with a peculiar glint in their eyes. We suggest you move swiftly, before they find a way to “appropriate” these babies.

The lens has a couple of bright white LED lights* in it, to fully illuminate whatever you might be working on.
