Mac family

Apple’s personal computers are divided into desktop and notebook families:

Apple Mac miniIn the Apple Mac desktop family, there’s the entry-level, ultra-compact Mac mini, the all-in-one iMac line, and the recently upgraded Mac Pro professional workstation.

MacBook Air family, 11- and 13-inch versions

In the Apple Mac notebook family, you’ll find the ultra-slim-and-light MacBook and MacBook Air models, and the MacBook Pro models, which, while still amazingly slim and light, offer more power, more storage, and bigger displays – including the groundbreaking hi-res Retina display.

Connecting Point has been an authorized Apple® reseller for nearly as long as there has been an Apple Inc. Beginning back in the 1970s, when we were part of the long-defunct TEAM Electronics franchise, we’ve carried Apple computers (starting with the revolutionary Apple II Plus) – and later, their other products: Macintosh®, iPod®, iPad®, Apple TV, and beyond.

  1. Hello…I have a MacBook Pro,13-inch, Mid 2010, 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB. Serial Number 7303711XATN with OS X 10.9.1 (13B42).
    I want to upgrade to:
    MacBook Pro 13-inch: 2.6GHz
    with Retina display
    Specifications
    2.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5
    Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz
    8GB 1600MHz memory
    512GB PCIe-based flash storage1
    Intel Iris Graphics
    Built-in battery (9 hours)2

Do you have any of these in stock? Can I trade in my current MacBook for a new one for any discount? I bought the one I have directly from Apple. It works great…but my video card is just not fast enough to run Adobe Creative Suite to it’s full extent.

    • Thanks for your inquiry. According to Fedex, the Macbook Pro Retina that you are inquiring about is being delivered to us this afternoon (Monday, January 13th), assuming you are closest to our Medford location. Supply is limited, so please let us know if you would like us to hold one for you when they arrive. As far as trading in your current Macbook Pro, it’s a bit out of the time frame we normally require for trades (less than two years old WITH Applecare), but if you bring it in, we can certainly see if there is anything we can give you for it. Thanks!
