Connecting Point ONLINE launches Windows 8 Resource Center

Windows 8 Resource Center at Connecting Point Computer CentersSince Microsoft rolled it out last fall, we’ve seen a lot of customers struggling  with the transition to Windows 8. It’s a big departure from earlier versions of Windows, with a far steeper learning curve. That being said, Windows 8 is a powerful, secure, and flexible OS, one well worth getting to know – and master.

To help with that, we’ve added a new “wing” to our website: a Windows 8 Resource Center, with FAQs, upgrade prices, system requirements, along with links to useful articles and tutorials. Don’t put off learning Window 8 any longer – check out our Windows 8 Resource Center today.

Their eyes almost seem to follow you…

These were installed earlier this afternoon, providing a dramatic facelift to our Medford storefront. They’re printed on mesh film, so you can still see through them from the inside.

Thanks to Medford’s own CDS Publications for production, and to contractor Dan Fair for the installation.

Connecting Point now offers SafeBox Automated Online Backup service

SafeBox automatic online computer backupSimple, automatic, and unlimited offsite backup of your critical data – for less than seven dollars a month.

A good backup strategy is an important part of the whole computer ownership experience. But most backup methods are flawed in important ways. They’re too complicated, too expensive, too time consuming – to the point where many computer owners end up not following through. Their data is at risk.

SafeBox Automated Online Backup changes all that. For just $79.99 a year, your data is securely sent over the Internet to redundant remote servers – and it all happens in the background, with no intervention needed on your part. So even if your computer is stolen or destroyed, your information – documents, photos, videos, financial data, games, apps, songs – is safe and sound. There’s no equipment to buy, no media to manage, no procedures to follow. Set it, and forget it.

We can set up SafeBox on your PC or Mac in about 15 minutes. Find out the full story here.
