Technically, this clever little gadget is (inexplicably) called “Ringo’s Belly Button,” but don’t hold that against it. Instead, focus on what a clever solution it is for mounting your smartphone right where you need it most: on your dashboard, above the kitchen counter, at your desk, or over your workbench. Installation is easy as pie. First, peel off one side of the 3M adhesive foam disk and apply it to the back of the base. Next, peel off the other side of the adhesive disk and stick the base where you want it. That’s it. A powerful neodymium magnet attaches the second piece to your phone, and also allows it to snap into place on the base. The second piece can also double as a grip – especially useful when passing the phone to someone without accidentally touching buttons or icons. And a flip-out ring can also serve as a stand.
