I’ve got 99 cents, and my stains are gone.
For this week’s DOTW, we’ve got a safe, organic, and apple-scented solution for smudged, stained, or downright dirty screens, keyboards, phones, TVs, MP3 players, game consoles, iPads – pretty much all of your electronic devices. It’s appleJuce, the ultimate electronic cleaner and polish. And we’re offering it in a convenient keychain pump – it even comes with a cleaning cloth attached. You can take it anywhere.
This travel-sized appleJuce Keychain Pump & Cleaning Cloth normally sells for $2.99, but this week – while supplies last – it’s a temptingly low 99 cents.

Their eyes almost seem to follow you…
These were installed earlier this afternoon, providing a dramatic facelift to our Medford storefront. They’re printed on mesh film, so you can still see through them from the inside.
Thanks to Medford’s own CDS Publications for production, and to contractor Dan Fair for the installation.

Simple, automatic, and unlimited offsite backup of your critical data – for less than seven dollars a month.
A good backup strategy is an important part of the whole computer ownership experience. But most backup methods are flawed in important ways. They’re too complicated, too expensive, too time consuming – to the point where many computer owners end up not following through. Their data is at risk.
SafeBox Automated Online Backup changes all that. For just $79.99 a year, your data is securely sent over the Internet to redundant remote servers – and it all happens in the background, with no intervention needed on your part. So even if your computer is stolen or destroyed, your information – documents, photos, videos, financial data, games, apps, songs – is safe and sound. There’s no equipment to buy, no media to manage, no procedures to follow. Set it, and forget it.
We can set up SafeBox on your PC or Mac in about 15 minutes. Find out the full story here.

Don’t let a screw drive you crazy.
This week’s DOTW is a compact, easily-carried set of 12 miniature screwdrivers. They’re ideal for disassembling (and hopefully reassembling) watches, cell phones and other mobile devices, LED flashlights, and all manner of electronic gadgetry. It includes a comfortable metal driver handle with 12 interchangeable driver bits, including no less than six hard-to-find Torx drivers.
This set retails for $29.99, but this week only it’s a steal at $6.99.

There’s no such thing as too much storage, especially when it comes to mobile devices.
Yesterday, Apple announced a 128GB version of the fourth generation iPad with Retina display. The 128GB iPad with Wi-Fi ($799.99) and iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular ($929.99) models provide twice the storage capacity of the 64GB models. That means more room – a lot more room – for your photos, documents, projects, presentations, books, movies, TV shows, music and apps.
Connecting Point is your local iPad expert. We’ve carried the Apple iPad line since its first day of introduction (that was April 3rd, 2010, you may recall), we stock all kinds of accessories and enhancements for them, and – as with any purchase from Connecting Point – the tech support is free… and for life.
To find out more about these, or any other iPad models (including availability), we invite you to use our handy online information request form.

At last, the drought is over – at least temporarily.
Our Medford store just received a pallet of 27-inch iMacs. Yes, these are the ever-elusive new slimline models. They are not quite “stock” iMacs, the main difference being they come with a full-sized, wired Apple extended keyboard (with full-sized function keys and a numeric keypad) in place of the usual Apple Wireless Keyboard.
SPECIFICATIONS
- 3.2GHz Intel Core i5 quad core processor
- 27-inch widescreen IPS display (2560 x 1440 pixels native resolution)
- 8GB DDR3 SDRAM
- One terabyte SATA hard drive (7200 RPM)
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX graphics with 1GB dedicated GDDR5 video memory
- Apple Magic Mouse (wireless)
- Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad (wired)
We’ve filled our customer backorders – many of them dating back to October – and still have over a dozen of these iMacs in stock. We expect they won’t be around long, so if you have been looking for one, please let us know.
CORRECTION: When this description was originally posted, it incorrectly identified the processor as an Intel Core i7, instead of a Core i5. We apologize for the error.

There’s an ancient maxim that says you can never be too rich, too thin, or have too many USB ports.
Fumbling behind your computer, bumping your head on the underside of your desk, swapping cables and devices – all of this goes away with the addition of this week’s DOTW: a sleek, futuristic-looking seven-port USB hub. Such a simple, elegant solution, at a such a trifling price: a mere $11.99. (it normally sells for $29.99.)
Read all about it here.
UPDATE [01.31.13]: This item has sold out in our Medford location.
