BULLETIN: Serious phone problems at our Medford location FIXED

Phones at our Medford location are downUPDATE: MAY 16, 2013 | 4:35 PM: It appears our phones are back up and fully functional. We thank you for your patience, and apologize for the inconvenience.

Last Friday, a power outage and subsequent surge knocked out most of our Medford store’s phone system. As a result, most incoming calls are not getting through. This is a serious situation, and we are doing everything possible to resolve it. Oddly, we are still able to make outgoing calls.

In the meantime, here are alternative ways to contact our people in Medford:

BY VOICE PHONE OR TEXT (goes to General Manager Jeff Thomas‘ cell): 541-944-4835

BY EMAIL (general info): Use our Contact Form on this page.

CONTACT OUR SERVICE DEPARTMENT: Use our web-based Service Contact Form to check on the status of a repair, set up an appointment, or ask a technical question.

We realize this is a tremendous inconvenience. We apologize, and ask for your patience while we sort this whole mess out. Thank you.

UPDATE MAY 16, 2013 | NOON: The phones were working OK most of the morning, but now we’re having some additional parts replaced – which means we’re unable to answer incoming calls. This is a (hopefully) short-lived situation. We suggest trying to call us first, and if no one answers, use one of the alternate methods above.

UPDATE MAY 17, 2013: Repairs have been completed, and our phone system is once again fully functional.

Apple’s iMac 1TB Seagate Hard Drive Replacement Program

NOTE: This program covers affected iMacs for three years after the first retail sale of the unit or until April 12, 2013, whichever provides longer coverage. Apple will continue to evaluate repair data and will provide further repair updates to this program as needed. If it has been more than three years since you purchased your qualifying iMac, please be sure you get your qualifying iMac checked in to our Service Department before it closes at 6 PM Friday, April 12th.

If you purchased (and registered) an iMac during 2009 to 2011, you probably received an email from Apple recently. According to Apple, “certain Seagate 1TB hard drives used in 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMac systems may fail. These systems were sold between October 2009 and July 2011.” (more…)
